Hi, Ryan

I have not read all of it yet, but
Thanks for all the great work you do 🤗.

I have one suggestion.

WHA allows you to read the manuals and FAQs directly, but they are all in English only. Is it possible to add an option to make the links open in browser to accommodate multiple languages?

(Currently the release notes and roadmap can be opened in Chrome and are automatically translated.)

However, the manual is a PDF, so need to create a web manual...

In the HDMI-CEC documentation it is started that :

"If the WiiM device is powered off using the WiiM Voice Remote, it will stop acting as the TV's external speakers, and the TV will play sound through its internal speakers."

This is not correct, at least not for my Sony TV. The TV always change to external speakers when turned on, no matter the state of the Ultra, and only way to get it back to internal speakers is to select TV as input on the WiiM Ultra and then select another input.

The correct behaviour would be to only have the TV to switch to external speakers if TV input is selected on the Ultra. And of course in the other cases when CEC is on and/or HDMI auto sensing is on.

The current documentation does not match the behaviour and the current behaviour is wrong.

It appears that you are blaming WiiM for a Sony TV issue. Have you provided feedback to Sony and sought their Tech Support advice??

This has actually been partly fixed in latest release ;) The power on/off of the Ultra now correctly change the TV. So now the documentation matches for that point.

Now we only need the fix for the TV power on issue.

This is not a Sony only issue but I guess some TV behaves differently, as the CEC is not that well defined in these cases.

Update: The documentation is still wrong. It only works as described if "TV" is selected as input on the WiiM Ultra and when the TV is on.

So still not fixed and not as described. Maybe it's working ok on the TV @WiiM Team is using for testing? I did however not get that information from WiiM when I did a beta testing for them!

The Help Center article Introduction to WiiM Devices HDMI-CEC Behaviors doesn't even mention how HDMI-CEC works with the WiiM Ultra. 😇

It just explains how it works with the WiiM Amp, WiiM Amp Pro and WiiM Amp Ultra:

Let us hope that @WiiM Team will take a look at this again.

I explained the HDMI CEC issues to WiiM back in August and they actually release a beta version to me that almost worked. Then they released a firmware update that did not include all from the beta test and that broke the behaviour. The wrong description in the Help Center don't help here either.

I have tried to explain that ever since but feels I have been goosted.
