Home Assistant 2024.9.1 + WiiM

Hi! I apologize for my English; I used a translator.

Unfortunately, too many triggers and conditions need to be created when wiim provides three entities of endpoints. Chrome cast can either be on or off. Meanwhile, the endpoint roon never turns off and is always on pause, while the endpoint of the application wiim home can be idle but not turned off. A nightmare for Home Assistant automation! Please create a custom integration WIIM for Home Assistant that will report that none of the endpoints are inactive and that the controlled device can be turned off or on.

And so. The main thing is to figure out how which service works. Chromecast always goes off waiting first and shuts down after a while, freeing up the endpoint to connect devices. Roon and WiiM home often pause and only occasionally stay in idle mode. Thus, in the triggers for turning off any device that does not have a 12v trigger, you need to specify the Off state for: Chromecast and Paused state for Roon and WiiM Home.

PS Once again, I apologize for the machine translation, but I think the meaning of the text is clear.

It does and works very well!
Hm of course opinions may differ, but for performing "actions" on the Wiim device there is basically nothing you can do via Home Assistant unless you use the exposed API and create a "call service" instead.
