I'm considering purchasing a WiiM Pro Plus to replace my aging Squeezebox. I'll use it primarily for streaming from a local PC.

One of the main features I want is the ability to add/delete songs and artists from an existing playlist through the app. Is this possible?

And, what is the best server/DLNA option for the PC side of things? I'm already using LMS...

You are already using the best option server wise. The WiiM Pro and Pro Plus both contain a Squeezelite client.

But to answer your actual question. No. Playlist management from a local server is not the WiiM App’s strength. Arguably it’s one of its biggest weaknesses.

But definitely get a Pro or Pro Plus and use it with LMS and Material. It will work exactly as your Squeezebox does only better. You will only need the WiiM App to setup the device in the first instance.
