Not being a smart guy at all, i do not have any issues with the Wiim Ultra at all. This device works flawlessly at every aspect. I simply does.

I feel a bit lonely, having no issues with my hifi stuff, the Ultra in special.

Anyone else have this feelings, too?
😉

That's probably your big advantage: Not being a smart guy at all 😂

Joking aside: no problems either! Not with the Ultras, not with the Pro and not with the Minis either.

I agree with Sake - I bought the Ultra after a horrendous time with a Cocktail Audio/Novafidelity N15D which turned out to be a heap of junk, not helped by the company going out of business. The N15D is currently gracing our local household recycling facility (the tip). I bought the Ultra on recommendation from somebody on a hifi forum (not this one), and I've never looked back. It's brilliant!

The WiiM Home app however does need a bit of work - it's sometimes slow and a bit clunky at times, and a finished Windows version would be good (it's been in beta forever).

But all told, I'm a happy bunny with my Ultra.

I do like to think that I’m fairly smart, but I’ve had zero issues with my WiiM devices.

Should I be worried?
I also think we all have different tolerance levels - I often see things being bitterly complained about where I simply shrug my shoulders given they don’t irk me or that there are usually more important things to get sorted out first.

I too must underline how my mini has always worked perfectly, if we exclude a mechanical problem on the toslink door, due to a 60cm fall of my first sample. This is even more evident if I compare it to the Bluos part of the Mdc 2 card of my NAD C3050LE, which sounds magnificent but which has always had, I stress always, new and annoying problems with every firmware update, regularly. The latest one introduced incompatibility on the toslink with 44.1KHz 88.2KHz 176.4KHz signals and Dirac inserted but as always, the NAD support while acknowledging the problem, is far from solving it, as usual. Praise to that of WiiM...

my only issues are with the app...but i can get it to work despite the bugs.

oh and one of my Wiim amps has to be unplugged and replugged every time i use it. havent had time to figure that out yet. Best i can find is bad wifi causes this but its about 6 inches from an AP.

My Ultra was purchased to act as a pre-amp, and it does that job very well.
The sub-woofer control is more than I had before, but I still find that MoodeAudio on an attached RPi5 does a better job of presenting tagged files and untagged folder views for me than the Ultra manages.
And although I will probably never talk to it, the remote does what is expected in terms of volume control and input selection.
Excellent value for money!
