Hi.
I am using Wiim Ultra with USB Memory.
I want to up and down load song files freely like NAS.
Can I do it like shared folder or do it with Filezila?
Cause It's quite troublesome to take out and plug in the USB memory evertime I add new songs.

You can create a new thread under "

Feature Requests for WiiM Ultra".

Unless WiiM add a Samba server to the devices then it won’t work.
I see the USB storage support as only suitable for libraries with few changes. Every time you plug and unplug a USB you need it to be totally inactive else you risk corruption

That's not the case. There is no problem in disconnecting a USB drive in the middle of reading. It's only after a scanning it should not be disconnected in the short period when it writes the index file back to the drive.

Yes you are correct but I think you know what I mean. You have to also make sure it’s not being written to when you unplug from PC.
Plugging and unplugging to add new stuff on a frequent basis just isn’t an optimum approach.

Interesting to see that BlueSound have a similar view to me, @d6jg et al: “If you anticipate making frequent updates to your connected USB library, it is recommended to configure the library as a NAS drive and connect it to your BluOS Players as a Network Share”
