Idagio

Yes please could this functionality be added? Was very disappointed when I discovered it wasn’t available!

Second that.
Idagio is THE Classical music service.
But, here comes the Audiophile bug, no Hi-Rez (?!)

As i am always curious about new sources i had a look and a trial with Idagio short after start. Good idea, but....
The editorial part, which could be (and in the companies eyes is) outstanding, new and what so on isn't. It's kind of boring. Sorry. Take a look at the BBC Music magazine and you have more and extensive recommendations.
That it is "only" 44,1/16 would not be an issue for me.
I checked cross with Qobuz for some historical recordings. Especially some Callas live gems. No differences. Both have the recordings or both have not.
Result for me: Not worth the relatively high price.
IMO, among other things, Idagio’s “library” is more extensive (regretfully no Hyperion). The “new music” selections are “on the cue” , the app. is excellent, the recommendations (both “critical” and “trending”) are also great. And…it’s cool. It is from Berlin.

From idagio tech
"iOS asks us for uncompressed audio data.
We stream or download the FLAC file from our servers, decrypt (no quality impact) and uncompress it (also no quality impact, hence the name lossless) and deliver the 1s and 0s of uncompressed audio data to iOS (in small chunks) as the track progresses. iOS then normally sends that to the speakers without modifying it.
However, for AirPlay it wants to preserve network data and (re-)compresses the uncompressed audio data to ALAC (just like we do, using FLAC), and sends it over the network to the end device (Sonos One, AirPort Express etc).
The audio data is unmodified until the AirPlay end device. After that point it’s up to the user to handle it. (digital cable or direct to speaker etc)"
