There is the Wiim ultra and there will be the amp pro. Both have streaming capabilities but one is a pre amp and the other is an amp. My question is could you run them together or would that be over doing things?

I’d maybe wait a few months as I fully expect WiiM to bring out a device that marries both the Ultra and the Amp Pro - it’d be a natural progression if nothing else, and was hinted at at the Munich hifi show earlier this year.

Definitely overdoing things. Both products were not conceived to be paired together but to offer options to different client profiles depending on what gear they currently have or what type of solution they're looking for.
