Latency Test question

For the latency measurement test the app says to "please put the WiiM Pro with your speaker as close as possible for more accurate measurement." Are they really recommending to physically move the WiiM closer to your speaker and then place it back in it's permanent spot after the test?

I think that means placing the test audio coming out of the speakers at a distance where the WiiM's microphone can pick it up.
