Let's talk movies & streaming shows

I'm watching "The Substance" on Prime Video. I just finished the first 30 minutes, and this looks like it's going to be interesting for the first time in a while. I'll watch the rest tomorrow.🙂

Tehran - Apple. Lots of bearded men, women in headscarves & knowing looks. Amateurish acting. Predictable storyline.
This ain't no Tinker, Tailor. 2/10 flop.

If I recall, I thought series 1 was ok’ish, but I didn’t get past the first episode or so of the second season when Glenn Close joined it

Good Night & Good Luck - Netflix. Film of a live theatre production. George Clooney.

American media & politics. 9/10

Most of the cast would be snatched & deported (or shot) by ICE agents these days.

Jurassic World: Dominion - Netflix. Total tosh. Sadly the velociraptors don't come out on top to eliminate all and anybody responsible for this abomination. O/10 (or -10/10)

Say Nothing - series based on the Troubles /IRA in N.Ireland. Good but over sympathetic to the perpetrators in my opinion. BTW, Gerry Adams was never a member of the IRA, but we all knew that 😜🤣

The Kings of Tupelo - Netflix documentary about the bizarre phenomenon of Elvis impersonators, and a swerve into the dark world of a selling body parts conspiracy, funeral homes, and Mississippi politics 🤔😁😛

for me most 'cinema movies' are a disappointment overhyped, too much of the film shown in trailers, anti social popcorn eating
most of the 'streamers' now provide better content than the traditional movie makers. a
85" 4k screen and decent sound who needs the cinema .. although ive not seen anything in Imax
