Watched this on Netflix last night. Top soundtrack as usual. Won't spoil the plot for you.
You do probably have to have seen the whole TV series to really appreciate the plot.Too late, @castalla already posted a major spoiler
I thought it was ok if a bit lightweight and I might have enjoyed it more had I watched the tv series.
I thought it struggled to build a story about the Nazi counterfeiting operation which almost farcically had a platoon of uniformed German soldiers lying in wait to ambush the canal boats in Liverpool during an accompanying Air-raid. Talk about poetic licence! At one point, Tommy is pictured sitting on a travelling barge typing away furiously at his book of memories. And why wasn't there a cameo role for somebody to play ChurchillToo late, @castalla already posted a major spoiler

Was that the counterfeiting operation portrayed in Private Schultz?I thought it struggled to build a story about the Nazi counterfeiting operation which almost farcically had a platoon of uniformed German soldiers lying in wait to ambush the canal boats in Liverpool during an accompanying Air-raid. Talk about poetic licence! At one point, Tommy is pictured sitting on a travelling barge typing away furiously at his book of memories. And why wasn't there a cameo role for somebody to play Churchill. Apart from Hunting The Wren, the only other decent soundtrack was a reprise of Nick Cave's Red Right Hand (from the original series).
Couldn't say - the series is not available for copyright reasonsWas that the counterfeiting operation portrayed in Private Schultz?
