LFE from Wiim while using "external DAC"? - question from "Mr Stupid"

So I understand I'm basically screwed because I act on impulse and never owned a Sub before, but here is the situation just to make sure.

I own a pair of Dali Rubicon 6C - active speakers with a "Connect hub" that manages the digital and analog inputs to the speakers wirelessly.
I also own and use the Wiim Ultra in which I use the DSP (EQ) to manage the horrendous room modes I have.
The "Wiim ultra" is connected to the "Connect hub" via SPDIF.
I only listen to streamed music via Qobuz and Tidal.

I just ordered a "SVS 1000 Pro" - subwoofer to more control of the bass by putting it somewhere in my room where it does not cause the same room modes and let it manage most of the bass instead of the front speakers.

And here of course I made a boo boo, since I need to use the DSP in Wiim to "cut" the bass frequencies from the front speakers, but I can not control the volume via Wiim since the speakers have their own digital amp and remote, and I would need use the "Wiims LFE out" which is analog and follows the volume set via Wiim.

I could connect the Sub to the "Connect hub" (it has a LFE connection) but it has no options for DSP or Crossover (expensive crap!) so it would still drive the main speakers at full range (confirmed by Dali tech), hence the sub would instead add to the bad bass.

Have I missed something or should I just sell it right away? (Along with these speakers that have only caused me issues!)

Can't you set the volume to a fixed level on the "Connect Hub" then use the Ultra to control the volume.

I considered this, but Isn’t the Wiim’s digital volume control ”destructive” (no longer bit perfect)
Either way thank you for reading my post and replying, it was a clever suggestion.

More destructive than an analog pot / resistor? :)
The Connect hub is using 32bit internally to minimize any digital loss when using it’s own volume control, they call it ”no bit loss attenuation”
There are no pots/resistors used in the way of ”analog” volume control as I think you are refering to.

How does the volume control of the "Connect Hub" work then? Isn't that digital?

My bad, I did assume that, like many, you wanted bit perfect output into an analog control. Shame on me...
As Slarti says, wiim use 32 bits too.

It does? I was not aware, is it documented anywhere?
In that case this could definently be an alternative.
Best i can find from a quick search is this.

And this

Thank you so much guys! @Mr Ee @slartibartfast 👏this is great info, this little device just keeps surprising me more and more!

Suddenly I feel way more hopeful and happy about my incoming sub ;)
They should promote this type of info, not many devices even care about digital volume control issues.

A final question on related to me/my topic, would it make much difference (sound quality/noise) if I use a cable that is 5 meters long contra 10 meters?
Cable in question: https://www.atlascables.com/atlas-products/element-integra-rca-interconnect.html
In short: No.

Any potential loss in level (due to ohmic resistance) could be easily compensated for (but probably is much less than 1 dB). A potential loss of high frequencies due to the cable capacitance is meaningless for a subwoofer.
