LFE from Wiim while using "external DAC"? - question from "Mr Stupid"

So I understand I'm basically screwed because I act on impulse and never owned a Sub before, but here is the situation just to make sure.

I own a pair of Dali Rubicon 6C - active speakers with a "Connect hub" that manages the digital and analog inputs to the speakers wirelessly.
I also own and use the Wiim Ultra in which I use the DSP (EQ) to manage the horrendous room modes I have.
The "Wiim ultra" is connected to the "Connect hub" via SPDIF.
I only listen to streamed music via Qobuz and Tidal.

I just ordered a "SVS 1000 Pro" - subwoofer to more control of the bass by putting it somewhere in my room where it does not cause the same room modes and let it manage most of the bass instead of the front speakers.

And here of course I made a boo boo, since I need to use the DSP in Wiim to "cut" the bass frequencies from the front speakers, but I can not control the volume via Wiim since the speakers have their own digital amp and remote, and I would need use the "Wiims LFE out" which is analog and follows the volume set via Wiim.

I could connect the Sub to the "Connect hub" (it has a LFE connection) but it has no options for DSP or Crossover (expensive crap!) so it would still drive the main speakers at full range (confirmed by Dali tech), hence the sub would instead add to the bad bass.

Have I missed something or should I just sell it right away? (Along with these speakers that have only caused me issues!)

I have (for starters) connected it to my DALI SOUND HUB, it has a LFE out actually.
And a sales rep for Dali told me the latest update for the hub added "automatic crossover/LFE detection" when you connect to the port.
Supposedly it activates a crossover for the main speakers at 80Hz.

So I am testing this if it works, if not I will go the other way and use direct connection to Wiim and use the Wiim ultra remote.

So, the Sound Hub is expected to provide the high pass filtering for the mains and the low pass filtering for the sub at a fixed frequency of 80 Hz? Note that the term LFE output is very uncommon and doesn't make any sense in 2-channel setups. It's a subwoofer output and the term LFE input or LFE mode refers to the sub not implementing the low pass filter, since it relies on the feeding processor to do so.

Is there anything you can configure on the Dali side, like the sub level? The WiiM Home app must not be used in this case, the subwoofer must be disabled.

The SVS app should be used to adjust the phase (and level, if not possible on the Sound Hub). What's the finest phase adjustment you can make? I would try 10⁰ steps and compare the individual measurements for maximum flatness.

There are no settings at all in the cursed Dali Connect hub for sub.
Attaching their manual: Dali Sound Hub

I am not using Wiim at all during measurments, ipad pro connected to Dali hub via Bluetooth.
So of course no EQ or Sub enabled in app.

”So, the Sound Hub is expected to provide the high pass filtering for the mains and the low pass filtering for the sub at a fixed frequency of 80 Hz?”
- correct thats what they told me!

The app for the sub can do 1.0 steps increments, so 0,1,2,,,,,180.

Here are new measurments:
Grey = No sub connected
Green = Sub connected (phase at 0 in sub app)IMG_0182.png
Nothing makes sense to me…

And for ”Fun”/sanity-test I did measurements with Wiims sub-out enabled and a crossover of 250, with no subwoofer on/connected!
The crossover/cutoff seems quite lazy doesnt it?

Forgot to clarify, in this measurement I connected the ipad to wiim using bluetooth instead just to try the crossover in the wiim app.
