This is for anyone that accesses their local files via either the USB input on the rear of the unit or via an external device (pc or laptop etc) and via the WiiM Desktop App.

Which one do you prefer or do you use, and why?
When organizing and saving the files, do you just save them all as (e.g) <artist> - <title> or do you have it structured as follows?

Main Folder (My Music for example) >> Sub folder Genre >> Sub folder Artist >> Title
Or
Main Folder (as above) >> Artist >> Title (all single audio files under the main music folder?

Which is the better way of doing this so that when searching and indexing it's easier to browse etc....

I've got no issue with metadata, ALL my files are scanned through EZ CD Audio Converter which even against MP3Tag is the best program by far imo.

Thanks for any tips as always :)

One folder per album and you can't go wrong.

Hey, thanks for the quick reply....

OK, so what's the significance of the numbering at the end? Sorry to be thick...
Can I have it: (example)

Madonna/True Blue/01. Papa Don't Preach.flac
Madonna/True Blue/02. Open Your Heart.flac

DiscNumber.TrackNumber

I will never browse the files at the filesystem level (I use foobar to manage my collection) so I just need them to be unique.
