Mini keeps dropping it's WI-FI connection

I've been using Wiim mini for several months now and haven't had any problems with it until now. However, for the past few days, possibly after the last update (around June 23), it has been losing its Wi-Fi connection quite often, but not regularly (sometimes it keeps the connection for several hours, sometimes for an hour). The only thing that helps then is to disconnect it from the power supply. The Wiim is connected to the soundbar with an optical cable. The Wi-Fi network is a dual-band mesh, the streamer connects in the 5Ghz band, the signal level is very good / excellent. It is controlled from an Android phone via the Wiim home application and used to play from TuneIn, vTuner and Spotify. I've run out of ideas on what else I could do to diagnose the problem. So far, I've reset the Wiim to factory settings, restarted the router, forced the connection in the 2,4Ghz or 5Ghz bands with and without mesh support. I tried with the preferred DNS server option disabled and with DNS 8.8.8.8 set on the router and the option enabled. Nothing helped. Is it possible that the hardware is damaged, e.g. the Wi-Fi antenna has failed? Any suggestions on what else can be done, or is it just a service call? There are several threads on the Internet about the Wiim mini losing its connection, but they don't give an answer whether the problem has been solved. Maybe someone here on the forum has had a similar problem with this device?

Have you contacted WiiM support?

When you submit a support ticket through Feedback in the WiiM app, a log of your device will be sent along with it to help us resolve the issue.

I'm have the same issues I have 3 devices only one w firmware ending in 450 is running. The 2 other unit run 451 are extremely unstable. I sit there watching the app and they come and go. Very frustrating. I have a big 4th of July party tonight and no music. Wiim you have to do better

At least my Mini has never disappeared on the WiiM app and is always visible.

Firmware version 4.6.620757(20240621)

So it is possible that you are experiencing a problem specific to your device.

Mine is the same firmware no drops as yet
Showing very good connection and 35db SNR
I use reserved ip addressing on all my network devices

I'm leaving the information for posterity, maybe it will be useful to someone.

The problem was solved thanks to the WiiM support, which suggested replacing the power supply. After changing to a more powerful one, it seems to be ok.
I just wanted to highlight this, as I had exactly the same problem and solved it in exactly the same way, simply by increasing the power of the electrical supply. I was using a 1A unit, as is in the manual, but increasing it has prevented disconnections.
I'd previously tried other suggested solutions with no joy, including specifying the band used, and tying it to one mesh node.

I just stumbled onto this problem yesterday, removing the power and plugging it back in started it up and connected normally.

Today it happened several times, at the startup I had problems finding the device at all. When I finally did, it dropped off after few minutes of playing music.
At this point I thought it was connecting to another wifi signal or similar, as Spotify Connect grouped it under "Decives in other network".

When I got it back up and working (power plug out/in), I noticed I had idle timer (Standby Mode) at 2 minutes, so I put it to "never" just to be on the safe side.

Few hours later it dropped out again, again with same issues, problems having it connect to my network, but this time I noticed it was fully off for a brief moment before turning back on to while LED light and being unresponsive.

That is when I started to suspect power issues, and changed the brick (mine is SHENZEN TIANYIN ELECTRONIC CO. Travel Charger, no idea if this is original), but nothing happened. Af first I thought the new brick (a PD rated one) was busted, but since it worked with other devices, I checked the cable and noticed that was busted.

So my problem was the (no-name, flimsy, cheap) cable. It doesn't carry any current anymore, so off to the dump it goes.
I'll keep following how things work with the new brick and (Amazon Basics, USB-C to USB-A 3.1, SuperSpeed+ 10Gbps) cable.

Hmm I almost didn't believe it but I had the same problem. I changed the cable 24 hours ago and it still works.. Insane hahahaha, I'll report back later :'D
