Have searched forums but cannot find a definitive answer on this. Scenario I have:
1 room
2 smart tvs
1 pair of ceiling speakers
Would like to be able to stream music OR watch smart TV. I’d like to be able to watch EITHER of the TVs (Option A) or BOTH TVs with content mirrored (Option B).
I am confused about the input side of this setup (output to speakers is ok).
Understand that Pro Plus or Amp will do music streaming. Aware that Amp will only allow me to connect 1 tv via HDMI arc.
For Option A, could I:
- use Amp with 1 TV into HDMI and another into optical?
- use Pro Plus with 1 TV into optical and another into RCA?
Aware that in both these cases I massively compromise on auto-switching. I guess I’d have to switch inputs manually in the app between streaming/TV1/TV2
For option B sounds complicated due to issues mirroring TV output.
I think a solution would be something like:
AppleTV > HDMI splitter > TV1 > WIIM HDMI
> TV2
Does anyone have a similar setup/use case with two TV sources in the same room?
