My listening test

Ok I've been listening to my new ultra thru both the line out and optical out into my Denon PNE600 amp and I've pretty much decided the optical out bypassing the Wiim DAC and utilizing the Denon DAC sounds better to me with better clarity and soundstage.

That being said is there much of a point of putting my CD player into the Wiim or leaving it in the Denon?

From the question I'm assuming you are using the CD player's digital outputs, in which case there's probably no point unless you wish to use the ultra to apply EQ etc. to the signal before it reaches the Denon.
