I'm running the Pro Plus with the following:

NAD 1155 preamp
NAD 2200 amp
A/D/S L1090 speakers
PA PS10 subwoofer (from Tape 2 OUT of preamp)

Now I'm wondering if I got the Ultra could I forgo the preamp, and most importantly, would the audio be improved?

Probably with RCA cabling. What are the inputs on the NAD 2200?

With a now rare setup, you're one of a select few that could tell us if the audio is improved.

I'm going to forgo the sub for now and try the Pro Plus as a preamp to see if the sound improves at all. Those are original caps in my vintage setup so there might be.

Okay, I'm an idiot.
Not sure why I was running through the preamp.

The Pro Plus sounds better straight into the amp.

Solved the subwoofer signal by splitting the RCA from the PP.
