Jan recap 2025.jpg

Hi everyone, Ryan here! January has been an exciting month for WiiM, with new announcements and community spotlights. Let's dive in!

New Arrivals & Updates

Community Highlights

  • Tech Tuesday: Deep Dive into Room Correction We’ve dug into Room Correction and answers some of the questions we see the most. We’ll get into the comments and answer the questions we can as well!
  • Thankful Thursday: We’re always listening for gratitude to share between community members, but that takes people to nominate and share! If you see someone out there on our community being awesome, message our team and we can shine a spotlight. We had a big nomination to share for someone who went the extra mile in making a feature request, and had to give them a shoutout.
  • Forum Feedback and Suggestions board: We want to hear from you! To ensure our community forum meets your needs, we launched a dedicated board for Forum Feedback and Suggestions.

Get Involved

  • Join our Community Curators Program to shape the WiiM community's future and gain exclusive benefits. We need some people to jump in and lend a hand!
  • Share your thoughts, feedback, and ideas either on the forum in the feedback section, or feature requests for WiiM in the requests section.
  • Follow the Announcement board for the latest updates and promotions!
  • Have a highlight to share from your browsing of the forum? Post it below!
  • Call out unsung heroes for Thankful Thursdays by sending our team a private message!

Thanks for being part of our community!

Welcome to the 855 newly registered members this month! I’m not listing you all, but we hope you stick around and join us! Happy listening!

“Gapless Playback Enhancements”

A bit dismissive. How about Qobuz Connect? No firmware update since the first one is pretty dissapointing
The Qobuz Connect beta is going well from what I've heard. I'll check in with our team and see if they're ready to share a timeline for release, but I don't have visibility on what the Qobuz team is working on. With this sort of collaboration there are a lot of moving parts which can slow things down.

Going well except it can’t multi room a cd quality album. Marantz work like a charm WiiM doesn’t.

Would love to see a future Ultra update include the ability to set high and low pass filters at nearly any frequency. For example, it would be great if the WiiM could be used as an active crossover for speakers that can be bi-amped.

If the sub output could be crossed over as high as say, 3000Hz, that would enable many owners to use the Ultra as an active crossover between the tweeters and woofers of their main speakers, providing an instant sound quality upgrade for many speaker systems. This would further solidify the Ultra as the ultimate Swiss Army knife of audio.

It would need more than just a fully flexible crossover: Currently there's just one mono output for the sub.

Ah yeah, duh!. Didn’t even consider that. It’s early here, lol.

Maybe the two pair of pre outputs could be configured to split frequencies in the way I described.
