Im sure this has been asked and answered...but I can't find the thread.

I have a Sony 2ch receiver that has Bluetooth capabilities to stream from my phone....so that works.

What I want is to stream my TT or maybe cassettes through my Sony receiver to Bluetooth speakers throughout my house.

My questions are is the WiiM Pro the correct option and can I group speakers.

If you took a line out from your receiver into a WiiM device then you could send that audio to a group of other WiiM devices, but that would be over WiFi, not Bluetooth. You could connect those other WiiM devices to speakers but again, I’d not advise the use of Bluetooth to do that for reliability and latency concerns

I haven't decided but I think WiFi I have wired passive speakers hooked to the receiver now and if possible would have those playing at the same time as the Wi-Fi speakers.

Lots to unwrap from that post.
Certainly Bluetooth is unlikely to work in the way you want. Even in it latest incarnations Bluetooth is not really capable of multi room audio due to transmission constraints .
Synchronised audio is only possible where speakers belong to the same audio ecosystem i.e. Wiim, Sonos, LMS/Squeezelite etc.
Your passive speakers wired to your receiver would be outside a Wiim ecosystem so synchronisation with Wiim connected speakers is not possible.

That's really helpful.Thank you. I suppose the only other option is to spring for a new receiver that accommodates both passive and active speakers. Thanks again!
