No volume control with Bluetooth speakers

Hi,

My WiiM mini is connected over bluetooth to a set of speakers. When I connect to the speakers from my iPhone (over bluetooth), I have full volume control. However, when connected through the WiiM mini, the output is always at max. Fixed volume is off and I've also tried to limit the max volume, nothing works.
Any suggestions on how to limit the volume?

I am having the same issue and posted a thread as well with some more information (link below). Did you ever figure this out or find a pair of speakers that worked for you?

I emailed with WiiM customer service, but they suddenly stopped responding and haven't responded since.
My issue is that any other device connected to my speakers have no issue with volume control - it's only the WiiM mini. But, like I said, unfortunately, WiiM decided to stop responding (I believe it was after me asking why it would work on any other device, like iphone, android phone etc).

Please let me know if you find more - good luck!

How did you send your message via wiim app or web?
 
Through email (Customer Support <support@wiimhome.com>).
They quickly replied, asking for more detailed information. I replied with that information. They replied with
"The issue you're experiencing with the volume control in the Spotify App on iOS 17 or 18 is known. Sometimes, opening other apps can interfere with the ability of the volume buttons to control the Spotify volume. "
To which I responded that it happened with other apps (Apple Music) and other devices (android) as well.
After that, no reply. I week later I emailed them again, and they didn't reply to that either.

That route doesn’t give them visibility of your device/app logs to aid diagnosis. Best using the more/feedback section in the WiiM app as is regularly advised in the forum.
