Do you have battery saving or such on? Maybe check if the WiiM app can be removed from any power saving plan.

Not that I am aware of however now at 0020 it's gone!

Usually, that notification appears when you reboot or reset your WiiM.
If you turn off notifications for the WiiM app, you won't see them.
