Just bought a Pro Plus and am trying to get it working with my other system components for multi-room. Here's my setup:

Pro Plus Connected to Sony receiver by optical cable, and linked with:
Two Edifier MS50A speakers (Wi-Fi & bluetooth, airplay, Alexa), each in separate rooms.
WiiM Mini connected to Edifier S2000MKlll wireless amplified speakers (bluetooth with optical and analog inputs) in a separate room.

They all show up as linked in the WiiM Home app. The Wi-Fi strength for the Pro Plus and three Edifier speakers in Very Good.

When the Mini was hooked to the S2000MKlll using the optical, the sound was very low volume, scratchy, broken up and gapped. Then I hooked up the Mini to the analog inputs, and I got no sound at all.

Other than my old sony, all of this equipment is new or less than 2 years old.

Any suggestions on troubleshooting the Mini - Edifier S2000MK issue? Any thoughts appreciated. - Danno

Have you tried changing the resolution of the optical output in the device settings of the WiiM mini?

If your Edifier speaker supports up to 24bit/96kHz, change the resolution to 24/96.

Or, try starting at 16/44.1 and increasing the resolution in steps.

If you use the Mini's AUX-out, please change the line-out level to 200 mVrms and see if sound comes out.

It is also possible that the plug has a poor contact. Try turning the plug or pulling it out a little to see what happens.

Thanks so much!! That was it, 24bit/192KHz
