You can install the WiiM Home TV App on your TV, if it is running one of the supported OS's.

The WiiM home tv app is available for Apple, Google/Android and fire tv devices. If you don’t have any of those platforms already, keep an eye out in Amazon’s upcoming Prime sale on Oct 7/8 - you might be able to pick up a fire tv stick for £20-£30.

So the music would have to come from the tv through hdmi correct? Is that capable of hi res audio like tidal ?

No, the hdmi connection on a WiiM device is ARC audio input only, no video.

The WiiM Home TV app has nothing to do with hdmi or how your tv is connected to your WiiM device. The WiiM Home TV app just needs to be on a suitable device that is on the same network as your WiiM device - it can scan the network for your WiiM and retrieve the artwork etc to display on the TV.

That's exactly what I did during the previous Prime sale. Connected to a cheap 24" monitor above my workstation makes the perfect now playing screen
