Is it possible to route the CD playing through my Wiim Ultra (Line In) to my Echo device so that I can basically use the Echo device as a speaker for whatever I'm listening to through my Wiim Ultra (CD playing in this example)?

I've figured out that I can command the Echo device to play music to my Wiim Ultra however what I'm wondering about is whether I can send whatever I'm listening to through my Wiim Ultra (i.e. CD player or turntable) to the Echo device and use the Echo device as a remote speaker.

Thanks,
Curt

No, WiiM devices can’t send audio to an echo speaker, you’d need something like an echo link to do what Amazon term “line in redistribution”.

I don't own an echo speaker, but I guess I'm a bit surprised you can't because I can send audio to my Fire TV Cube connected to my HT AVR from the Ultra.

Can’t they send to Echo via BT?

So do I as a rule
This is almost exactly what I am trying to do, with a turntable rather than a CD player, but no joy so far. I am prepared to accept that there will be a drop in quality (although Wiim claim the quality will be the same as Airplay 2), for the convenience of streaming to another room. However, the BT Out on the Wiim Ultra will not pair with the Echo Show I am attempting to use as an endpoint. BT Out does work with a UE Boom speaker, but not the Amazon device. I have raised a ticket with Wiim.
