Plex DLNA and WiiM Mini

WiiM Home app with WiiM Mini sees my Plex DLNA server on my WD My Cloud Ex2 Ultra, but cannot browse its contents. The same Plex server works fine with other DLNA clients like BubbleUPnP. I’ve cleared cache, uninstalled the app, reinstalled the app, power-cycled all devices, and reset WiiM Mini to factory, to no avail. There was a time when I could see the contents, but it just stopped. I'm unable to get the app to send feedback, as well. All these problems came from the blue. Can anyone help?

If there a reason why you're not using the native Plex integration? Browse > Music Services > Plex

That's how I'm trying to connect. I used to be able to. I was just informing of the device housing my Plex server.

Can you browse Plex via [Browse > Home Music Share > Media Server]?

First of all, thanks for the help. That's how I was always connecting and it just up and stopped doing it. The app recognizes the Plex server, but I select Plex Media Server, Music, Music again, and I get all the categories. If I select a category, such as All Artists, it times out every time.

Update: I tried all the different categories. They all get me to my collection, except for All Artists and Albums, which is strange to me. That's how I prefer to browse.

So you're not accessing Plex via [Browse > Music Services > Plex], instead you're using [Browse > Home Music Share > Media Server], is that correct as you seem to have said yes to both. You should be using [Browse > Music Services > Plex] as it's a much richer browsing interface.

When browsing [Browse > Home Music Share > Media Server] the content should appear exactly as you see it in BubbleUPnP.
Do the All Artists and Albums indexes work in BubbleUPnP?
Does the albums index also time out in WHA?
How many albums do you have in your collection?

WiiM doesn't index your collection it just displays the metadata from Plex, so if your albums are grouped correctly in Plex/BubbleUPnP then it can't be the issue.

I did what you said. I used Music Services instead of Home Music Share. Worked like a charm. Everything is now exactly the same as Bubble. Thank you for your help.
