So... has anyone ever encountered this before? My pro updated just fine. Did the factory reset bit, power up/down and last but not least raised a ticket with Wiim tech support. Thanks in advance.

Problems here too. I can eventually get to the download circle but no progress and then it just times out and gives me "Unknown error". I have restarted but there is no difference in behavior.
Http api getStatusEx command is the easy way to check if there is a FW available for the device - through "VersionUpdate" and "NewVer" fields. I think that the app can see that FW for the model is available, but it doesn't verify if the device is permitted to download it.
