What do you mean by "the app on my phone switches to LMS and starts back up"?
I open and play Radio Paradise directly from the app on my phone. When done, I stop play via the Pause button. The Radio Paradise app within LMS connection in the WiiM app Autoplays.
Mine does something strange as well. I played Radio Paradise from the WiiM app to my WiiM Amp then paused it. Then LMS started playing to the WiiM Amp via the UPnP/DLNA bridge but rather than play Radio Paradise it started playing whatever I had last played via the UPnP/DLNA bridge.
Hmmm...well I could try that...maybe...not sure I have activated UPnP/DLNA. I use the Squeezeplay protocol. For my music I tend to use Plex as, for some reason, LMS (via the QNAP) will not scan all my music.
At the moment I have the UPnP bridge and the Chromecast bridge enabled so the WiiM Amp shows up three times in my LMS player list. When I disabled the two bridges nothing played after I paused Radio Paradise.
Ok...I do not see a way to disable LMS unless I go into my NAS and turn it off...which I do not want to do as I use it in other rooms. WiiM app has toggles for all the other protocols. I suppose I could just run RP in Squeezeplayer app but I do not always get album art with that method.
Do you mean you don't get album art when you play Radio Paradise from the LMS plugin to the WiiM? Or do you really mean the Android app Squeezeplay?
I get art with RP app in WiiM. When I shut app down, LMS directly to WiiM app does not. iPeng in iOS app shows art. I would have to check Android Squeezeplay app...but that is hit or miss to operate at all (old phone...have to check which app) so usually use WiiM app. WiiM app is fine on either phone.
If I play from the Radio Paradise plugin in LMS to Squeezelite in the WiiM Amp I see artwork on LMS and in the WiiM Home app.
