Pro Plus stalling on hires files

I have a very recent Wimm Pro Plus. Its connected wired to my network. The server for my hires files (same as standard resolution files) is an intel based PC that has had no issues with these files over the last 8+ years. I'm using minidlna for now. They play fine on my phone at 176.4 KHz. However on the pro plus they will play for 15 to 30 seconds and then stop. A pause and play restarts but only for a short period. Is anyone else having similar issues? I have submiited a ticket.

Update. Tried some other usb chargers from my collection. All rated at 2A. The one shipped with my unit failed immediately. Another (Nokia) caused a loud buzz. However a 2A LG seems to have resolved my problem. It seems I need to design a good linear supply for this.
