Hello. My Ultra is connected to an external DAC via an optical cable, and I would like to set custom volume levels for my different headphones using presets. However, I can't get “Set custom volume" to work no matter what. It just doesn’t do anything. “Fixed volume output” is off and every setting should be ok.

Has anyone had a similar problem?

That should set the optical out volume to 100 - if you, say, set it to 50 and it doesn't work then I guess you might need to raise a ticket to WiiM via the more/feedback section in the app so they can perhaps deduce the issue from your device logs.

Problem solved: I didn’t realize that volume doesn’t react to the slider right away. So, in order to do this, you must first slide to adjust, then save, get out of the preset in question and come back to hear if the level is somewhat right. Not super handy, but works after all.

Hi,
Sorry if I misunderstood, but do you have several headphones and want to set a different volume for each headphone?

In this case, you need to create several presets with the same output destination but different volume levels. If one of the presets you have created contains "Follow current volume", the volume change will not work with that preset.

You can adjust the volume before creating the Preset. The, when editing the Presets, change from "Follow Current Volume" to "Set Custom Volume".
