As for the volume knob not working, you mean the volume doesn't change? Is Fixed Volume enabled in Audio Settings?
I hope not if you intend to use headphones. But that not working if you choose headphone out in the app is unusual. It doesn't auto switch when headphones are inserted.

Use the ... More menu option (bottom right) then Feedback and Tickets to send info and device logs to Wiim to check if they can see any problems.
