Proportional multiroom volume control

Hi, I’d like to suggest a feature: „proportional volume control in multiroom“

I’ve raised a request in the app but thought, maeby somebody else would be interested as well.

First my problem:
I use a Wiim Ultra with an amplifier and active speakers, phono player attached to the Wiim Ultra. The phono is streamed to several Wiim sound lite in other rooms.
Typically I listen at about 40 % volume with the Wiim Ultra and 10% volume with the sound lights, wich is then the same loudness effectively.
The problem is: if I change volume with the Wiim Ultra knob or the remote, the change is applied equally for the whole group. For example if I go from 40 to 50 volume on the ultra knob that’s only a moderate increase of volume (increase of 25%} in my living room, while it is a extreme increase of volume in all the other rooms (increase of 100% from 10 to 20), so way to loud.
That’s why remote and knob are sadly completely useless for me in a multiroom scenario.

Proposed solution:
If you change volume on the master device, have the slaves change volume in the ratio.
So in my example, master volume 40, Slave volume 10:
A change to 50 on the master should result in a change on the slaves to 12,5 (rounded to 12 or 13 maeby).

Hi,
Adjusting the Volume limit and pre-gain appropriately may resolve your issue.

After setting the volume of all WiiM devices to 40%, try lowering the Volume limit in WiiM Sound to match the volume.

oh boy, I really only have thought about what I could to about the Wiim Ultra and haven’t seen this great solution of limiting the max volume of the sound lites.

I just tried and it works just fine!
