Pro's Update: V4.8.529056

The PEQ bug reported in this thread has not been fixed, so Android requires the Q value to be entered last. Also, it seems that the name when saving cannot use uppercase letters.

Squeezelite seems to have fixed skipping when track advancing/seeking.
The only thing that jumps out at me is that it doesn't respect Fixed Volume Output.

Yeah, noticed that too. Ticket submitted.

Once a playlist finishes in LMS my UPnP queue resumes. I had stopped UPnP playing but hadn't cleared the queue.
Maybe it's just something to beware of rather than a problem as such.

Just received this firmware. What do you mean by "doesn't respect Fixed Volume Output". Mine seems to be OK!?

In LMS, I can pull back on the volume slider and while it bounces back a bit first time, it will reduce the volume of my WiiM Pro and Pro Plus.

Do you have the LMS player set at 100% also.

Material - Player, scroll to bottom "Extra Settings" chnage from "Basic Settings" to "Audio" towards the bottom Volume Control - set as "Output level is fixed at 100%"

Probably not - thanks for that :)

I've only tried UPnP and Qobuz but I haven't had to set them manually. Surely this is something that WiiM can/should control?

This is a quirk of Squeezelite. I believe I am correct in saying that unless explicitly set to 100% it will try to control AlsaMixer if present.
The ability to set a player at 100% has existed in LMS for ever and is obviously good practice if you are trying to achieve bit perfect playback and use volume control in the analogue domain.

NB.
In Material etc the volume slider gets disabled if you set at 100%.

It would be nice if WiiM could control it (or maybe displayed a message) as I was testing through LMS and turned the volume up through my amp (I guess LMS defaulted to 50%), when the LMS playlist finished WiiM resumed my UPnP queue at the higher volume.

My Pro seems to be on the fast track for these recent updates. This one came today, and I let it install. Before doing so, on a hunch, I set the standby timeout to "Never" in (iPad) WHA. Not sure that mattered, but this is the first update that has installed itself successfully and let me continue with the music, without forcing me to re-configure or unplug the thing. Happy!

Read this post yesterday and set the Wiim thusly
I don't believe I had the standby set to off before, but I did experience some funny business over the last week or.so

So, today I got the 056 firmware that is the 2nd time I have squeezelite functionality and the parametric EQ together

I do sometimes EQ podcasts and news feeds so I'm glad I got those together again

Mine came earlier today, I hit update, got an error. Tried again, another error. Reboot and firmware is updated. Not very smooth but OK.

PEQ works but has some labels wrong that I reported via submitting feedback on the app. Now fingers crossed that they unlock the types peak/LS/HS and add more bands!

Last but not least the manual language selection on the app allowed me to go back to English and avoid partial and buggy translations.

"In our upcoming app version set for release around September 20th, we'll be enabling bands to independently select between Peak, and Low/High Shelves.

As for the PEQ bands for independent L, R, or L+R adjustments, we are actively developing this feature. We'll provide a release date announcement in our forum once it's finalized."

Where’s that from?
