Qobuz audio quality

I can’t get Qobuz hi res tracks to play in Wiim Mini. All settings have been correctly made for hi res 24 bit/192 kHz in device settings on Home App and I’ve confirmed hi res track is playing but the Mini only outputs cd 16 bit signal. Anyone else encountered this and found a fix?

Have you set the streaming quality on the Qobuz settings page in the WiiM home app?

From my understanding the WiiM Mini can only play up to 48K, 16 bit files

That’s only if you’re plugging something into its 3.5mm analogue input. I can assure you the WiiM Mini can play tracks bit perfect up to 24/192.

Yes, set to 24/192 in both Qobuz settings and Mini device settings

What are you connecting to, presumably via the Mini’s optical output? Is the cable securely seated at both ends? Do you have another cable you can try? Also, you’re not playing the Mini in a linked group, are you?

Edit: also, try power cycling the Mini.

I do have the Mini linked to another Mini. Is it not possible to do that and stream hi res?

No, Linkplay groups are currently limited to 16/48. As a next step, they may try upping that to 24/48, perhaps as a precursor to full hi res multi room.

As an aside, it’s helpful when asking a question to include as much information as possible - had you mentioned the Mini was in a linked group up front, you would have got to the answer quicker. As it was, my query about linking was a lucky shot in the dark Cheers.
