I've recently bought a new pair of speakers and wanted to hear how these sound with Radio 4 speech and Radio 3 music. Using the Wiim app under Music Services there are lots of BBC stations but they all stream at 24/48 khz. Is this the highest quality available?

Also, a few years back I used to listen to Linn radio via my Marantz amp. Have a different Marantz amp now but it's all Heos rubbish. Is it possible to listen using the Wiim Pro Plus?

I have tried to copy and paste a few streams to the Wiim app but haven't been very successful. When I have attempted to do it the SAVE button dissappears. I then do a Test Stream and the result Stream is Unreachable comes back.

Bbc AAC 320kbps 24bit 48KHZ is highest quality you can get out of BBC i believe.

Here's how I added Linn Radio to my WiiM Home App.

Browse>Open Network Stream
Click on +
In the Name box add what you want it to be called such as Linn Radio
In the Stream URL box add the stream URL. For Linn Radio it is http://radio.linn.co.uk:8003/autodj
As desired in the Description box add a description
As desired add a photo.

Click Save.

To play a saved stream, Browse>Open Network Stream>Linn Radio.

To make it easy you can assign it to Favorite1-4 in the WiiM Home App and then just press the corresponding button on the remote.
 
Under Open Network Stream, enter the following URLs:

Linn Jazz: http://radio.linn.co.uk:8000/autodj
Linn Classical: http://radio.linn.co.uk:8004/autodj
Linn Radio: http://radio.linn.co.uk:8003/autodj

All the above and the following bbc links are 320kbps max.

The bbc urls can be found below - change the 96000 to 320000 for uk users

Managed to figure out why the SAVE button wasn't there. After typing in the details of the station name the SAVE button was hiding behind the keyboard. :ROFLMAO: I've had this before but changing the screen orientation normally solves it. Thanks all.
 
I heavily used the feature and have saved many streams. You will notice that even if you select an station photo as "cover" some get blank again after starting playback. That is because the stream itself sends some metadata info that the Open Network Stream is not handling properly. I created some tickets to either accept that Metadata or let the saved station cover. They promised to improve this behavior. Currently album artwork is never ready from the track unfortunately, but do trust @WiiM Support , they will improve surely soon.

" Regarding the missing cover art, we’ll implement a feature to show the radio station’s cover art when a song lacks its own artwork."

Oh that's why it blank sometimes, thanks for the info
