Replacing a Wiim Pro with Wiim Pro Plus

I just bought a Wiim Pro Plus to replace my Wiim Pro. What's a good way to do this without having to write down and re-enter all of the settings from the old device, which I plan to reset to factory defaults so that I can gift it or sell it? Is there a way to export/save settings somewhere and then re-import them to the new device? One thing that may simplify the task is that my connection is Ethernet.

Also, the new device will probably need a firmware update. Should I do that before or after completing full setup?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Unfortunately there’s no way to copy settings between devices.

Doesn’t really matter when you’d do the firmware update.

Thank you, I thought that might be the case. Oh well, I'll only have to do it once (but the Alexa and Apple Home stuff sometimes take a bit of work).

Strangely, when I searched for this, I didn't see the other thread that's essentially identical that you replied to. Well, now there are two (maybe soon three ...).

Thank you. I'm hoping to! Will allow me to eliminate the DAC that I currently feed from the Wiim Pro (an excellent little Topping that uses the same DAC chip as the Plus). Even better, the ADC on the line input side is a better chip than on the Pro, so it will be interesting to see if there's an audible difference (but very hard to test if I don't have both Wiim Pros running!). But these things are subtle and depend on many things, including room acoustics, amps, speakers, etc., so whatever I find is only marginally useful to anyone else. I'll just have to settle for the satisfaction of knowing (which is half of audiophilia, isn't it?).
