Running a Sony AV as my AMP and WiiM Amp as my DAC/Streamer?

Recently, I noticed my father upgraded his home entertainment system and he's considering giving his set away

I have no need for the rest, but I've noticed the Sony AVR isn't a slouch when it comes to power Sony STR KM5000

Would it lighten the load from the WiiM AMP, if I introduce the Sony AV into the mix, was thinking of the following layout:
PC SPDIF->WiiM->Sony AV->Sub and Speakers

Would it lighten the load from the WiiM AMP, if I let the Sony AV run the speakers and connect it to the WiiM AMP to do the rest, playing as a DAC towards my PC. Or is this foolish and there's absolutely no sense in doing this type of upgrade?

How do you plan to connect your AV receiver to the WiiM Amp?

How would you connect the WiiM amp to the PC if you were wanting to use its DAC, it doesn't have an analogue output? I don't think you could use the WiiM Amp's USB out either (which would bypass its DAC) as input to a PC

WiiM is currently connected to my PC with optical

Updated the initial post, with the following question/query
If it's possible to connect them in this order and if it's even worth it

PC via SPDIF->WiiM->Sony AV->Sub and Speakers

The WiiM Amp only has USB audio out and the AVR doesn't appear to have USB audio input, so it's a no-goer I'm afraid

Don't be too sad about it.

90 watts per channel into 6 Ω (stereo) isn't actually that impressive. No distortion figures given. It will probably do like 67 watts into 8 Ω and won't be able to reach the theoretical maximum of 134 watts into 4 ohm.

That's pretty much no difference to the WiiM Amp. 67 watts instead of 60 watts will give you a whopping 0.5 dB increase of sound pressure level.

Potentially I guess, but as @harkpabst has said, the use of the AVR might be of questionable or minimal benefit, and use of the AVR for the sub might not offer the same features as the excellent WiiM bass management features.
@harkpabst does have a valid point, yes, I didn't even consider the 6 Ω at 90W

I do know that the Sony AMP isn't 'new' but dated, so the WiiM does stack up quite well compared to it.

The other option would be to sell your WiiM (which I wouldn`t) , get an Ultra and add it to your setup.. Maybe with a slight improvement in DAC, but as the other members said, the improvement might not be that great. The Wiim Amp is a great piece of equipment, I would stick to it.

Yeah, considering all the additional cables and kit on kit, it's maybe ideal to stick with the WiiM AMP only for ease of use and how it fits my setup.
