Shuffle not shuffling

I'm selecting what I believe to be the shuffle option when playing a playlist in the Wiim home app but it's not doing any shuffling. Am I doing something wrong or misinterpreting what looks very much like a shuffle icon I'm selecting?
Correction!!! In fact a limited amount of actual shuffling takes place, but the "queue" appears exactly as the playlist.

What music service and content are you playing?

Edit: just read your update. Might be worth submitting a ticket to WiiM via the settings / feedback section in the app so they can investigate fixing this

I have a similar issue. For Amazon music a specific playlist I created from different songs seems to shuffle fine. However, just selecting the "My Music" then "Tracks" the shuffle appears to start randomly but then seems to go alphabetically starting at A (with maybe some randomness in the A's). Maybe me but I tried it a few times and getting same results. Same for iPad and iPhone devices. I have also noticed the skip option is greyed out for the first track. After the first track plays the skip button works.
