Just loaded up on an amp pro, 3 amps, and 3 Wiim Pro Plusses. I have installed one of each and everything is working as expected, but i can't get Sirius XM to chromecast to any of the devices.

On my Pixel 6a it does not show any of my Wiim devices when I try and chromecast from the Sirius XM app. I have uninstalled and reinstalled. Never had issues with any of my other chromecast devices.

I also tried on an LG tab AB. The Wiim devices show in my list of chromecast devices in the Sirius XM app, but nothing happens when I click any of them.

DNS is set to 8.8.8.8.

Would really appreciate if you guys can help me out. If I can't get Sirius to work the Wiims may have to get returned.

Submit a ticket to WiiM and see if they can gauge anything from your device logs.

Can you Chromecast from other apps to the WiiMs?
Tidal and Spotify work no problem, streaming directly from the apps. Of course, they work fine inside Wiim as well. Just tried YT Music which I don't normally use. Wiim devices not showing.

Tidal and Spotify are more likely using their own Connect mechanisms rather than Chromecast I’d guess.

Anything else on your network that might be impeding access to the WiiM devices? I ask because I’ve just read a post on Reddit where cast integration in Home Assistant was preventing chromecast from working with SiriusXM.

Burnside, not that I am aware of. I don't have any automation running except for some Jetstream lights. Just ripped out my RTI stuff. I have Google Home, but don't really use it to do anything. Straightforward network, mesh WIFI using Eero 5g stuff.

Have you tried toggling the Wi-fi roaming setting in the WiiM devices’ network status to see if that makes any difference?

It might need WiiM to look at your logs so the sooner you can raise a ticket, the better.

3waller, open the WiiM Home app on either the phone or the tab. Select either the WiiM Amp or the WiiM Pro Plus. Hit the little gear icon. Scroll down to the Voice section and tap on Chromecast Audio. On the next screen, do both, the Amp and the Pro Plus show up under "Enabled devices" similar to this?

Try to set up your devices in Google home to allow Chromecast audio.
Thanks, that worked for each of the 3 units I have setup. However, when I group them in the wiim app there is no sound from the 2 wiims I added to the group (no matter which I stsrt with). They appear to group fine except for the lack of sound. I can group in native apps with no problem.

I added each wiim in google home as a native device.

Chromecasting to a WiiM group does not work, indeed. You'll have to set up a Chromecast group in Google Home instead (or more than one, if you want different combinations) and cast to this Chromecast group instead.

Thanks everyone. I'll do that Harkpabst. I guess i'll stick with the Wiims, but I hope they add Sirius XM natively.
Not sure if the linked poll in the 1st posting is still monitored, but you could definitely raise your voice in this thread:

Many users here are just casual listeners where quality sound don’t matter. Serious listeners will not listen to lossy sources. This why Spotify not releasing hifi because there are just too many majority casual listeners.
