Source input in WiiM Home

A source input switch option would be useful in the Wiim Home — for example, next to the device selection or volume control.

This has been suggested (and rejected) before.

Your proposal makes most sense on big screens, which isn't necessarily the norm.

There are already (at least) 4 ways to switch between inputs:

• WiiM Home App: Browse tab, Source Input
• WiiM Home App: Device settings, Audio Input
• WiiM Home App: Store any input as a Preset. Can also be enabled via the WiiM Voice Remote.
• WiiM Voice Remote Source button. Admittedly, cycling through the inputs isn't the most convenient option.

I might have missed other ways to do it.

• Echo Voice Control: Create a routine with a custom command of e.g. “switch to optical” with the “Hear Alexa From” setting specifying your WiiM device. That routine can be run from any echo or Alexa-enabled device.

Also in many cases, inputs are switched by auto-sensing, so preset selection may be more convenient than input switching.
(At least for me...)
