Should the product request thread turned into a recurring series instead of a single post?

We're kicking around the idea of converting this megathread into an ongoing series of focused discussion threads. Here's how it would work: we'd open up a new thread, collect suggestions and feedback from the community for a set period of time, and then close it once we're ready to cycle to the next one.

When a thread is closed, the most popular and compelling ideas from that discussion wouldn't just disappear. The top suggestions would be spun out into their own dedicated feature request posts, each linked back to the original topic thread for context and continuity. This way, recurring themes and high-interest ideas get a permanent, organized home where they can be discussed in more depth.

To set expectations clearly: this process is not a guarantee that any idea, no matter how many votes or comments it receives, will be accepted, prioritized, or built into a product. Popularity alone doesn't equal a roadmap commitment. What it does mean is that suggestions which keep resurfacing organically will have their own dedicated space, making it easier for us to point people toward an existing conversation rather than having the same discussion scattered across multiple places.

Our goal here is to make community feedback more organized, more visible, and easier to track over time, for both you and us. Cycling threads out will also hopefully cut down on the side chatter and off topic conversations that happen in megathreads.

Go for it.... but can you at least keep a list of the previous products when you create the new thread?

Like.. "In the last thread we had requests for an amp, a video unit and a flamethrower. We have referred TonyE to the FBI! "....

I understand your problem... forums do not scale up well when you have lots of subscribers. Maybe you want to limit which threads can be subscribed to?

You can't honestly expect me to just turn off the super genius until you're ready for it again?!?! 🤪

Are you going to archive the old threads and make them inaccessible?
It doesn't really matter to me ... I will know that I was the inspiration for Noise Canceling Teeth and the fact that the world will never be able to thank me personally is something l will have learn to live with... if I have to... I guess.

They'd be readable, but locked.

Yeah TonyE, they already make an amp!

Funny.... let me see, in the last four years I've managed to smoke three amps... one of them, twice.

I mean,

"Tony, did something burn?"
"Dad is something burning... OMG, is that smoke?" - Twice on that one amp.
"Ooops, speaker no working?"

Also took out three speakers. Did you know that if you blow the woofer in an Audio Note speaker you have to replace both of them and modify the crossover too?

Great idea as I will agree to anything if you make an AVR. There is a huge demand in our niche for D class powered amps that meaure well. If you can make one that measures as well as my ultra amps, I will tattoo Wiim on my arm! You have excelled at making these products. If I could meet the person who brought this company to life I would tell this person what a wonderful gift they have given to help the younger generation have access to hifi.
