We're kicking around the idea of converting this megathread into an ongoing series of focused discussion threads. Here's how it would work: we'd open up a new thread, collect suggestions and feedback from the community for a set period of time, and then close it once we're ready to cycle to the next one.
When a thread is closed, the most popular and compelling ideas from that discussion wouldn't just disappear. The top suggestions would be spun out into their own dedicated feature request posts, each linked back to the original topic thread for context and continuity. This way, recurring themes and high-interest ideas get a permanent, organized home where they can be discussed in more depth.
To set expectations clearly: this process is not a guarantee that any idea, no matter how many votes or comments it receives, will be accepted, prioritized, or built into a product. Popularity alone doesn't equal a roadmap commitment. What it does mean is that suggestions which keep resurfacing organically will have their own dedicated space, making it easier for us to point people toward an existing conversation rather than having the same discussion scattered across multiple places.
Our goal here is to make community feedback more organized, more visible, and easier to track over time, for both you and us. Cycling threads out will also hopefully cut down on the side chatter and off topic conversations that happen in megathreads.
