This week we're sending out a special thank you to a member of our community based on a nomination!

Meet @Okosisi, a community star 🌟 !

A fellow member nominated @Okosisi for going above and beyond:
  • Taking time to write a detailed spec for Multiroom API Limitations & Feature Request
  • Showing initiative & thoughtfulness in contributing to WiiM's growth
Your dedication inspires us! Thank you, @Okosisi, for really raising the bar for constructive feedback in your thread for Flexible Multi-Group Audio Zone Management! We love seeing out community demonstrating passion for improving WiiM and helping us understand your needs & prioritize features effectively.

Detailed suggestions like yours enable us to create solutions and enhance the experience of our users, while driving drive innovation forward.

I can't make any promises that this feature will be added, but I, and the dev team as well, appreciate seeing such a well detailed request!

Special Thanks 🙏

To our nominator for recognizing & sharing @Okosisi's outstanding contribution! You know who you are! :)

I would like to give a big round of applause to @Okosisi 🤗🎉.

To be honest, his post was too difficult for me. In short, would the team's implementation of this solve all the problems with the current persistent groups?

I am a little frustrated that cannot switch between duplicate groups on the WHA Now Playing screen. I thought the delete master device feature would solve all, but it has yet to happen.

Thank you 🙂

Just seeing this! Why thanks sir, you're making me blush!

Available to help with implementation. Been building products you know and love for 25 years (won't mention them here, but they are big enough that you have absolutely used them). So when I say I can help, it's true and I mean it.

All my WiiMs are in place and will start putting them through real world use (vs lab) in a few weeks. Looking fwd to more innovation.

Also since I was recognized, please please add me to the super secret beta software and hardware group (I assume one exists) 😁 You won't regret it

There’s no secret beta software groups - just go into your device settings, then device info and select “join beta testing” to see what beta programmes available for your device that you can join at will.

I think it will go a long way. I hope I don't have to use WHA as my main interface though. Just Airplay and Spotify. My 'customers' (wife and kids) don't like learning new interfaces.

you know I already did. but how about new hardware testing? I was on the unifi EA when it still had early hardware access. sadly they pulled that into a smaller super secret group and I could not be arsed to say the obscure password and do the hand gestures.

When we do super secret hardware testing, we may reach out to some of our top community members, starting with the community curator group. One of the perks of helping us maintain the forums :)
