The Power Consumption of WiiM amp

How much power consumption when operating the WiiM amp? (not standby power)
(Given the appropriate volume and environment) has anyone measured it?

And I'm curious that is it possible to use the WiiM amp by standing it on the side? like tv set-top box or wifi machine.

Around 10-11 Watts when I measured it. It doesn't seem to change a lot with volume but that probably demonstrates that we only use a small fraction of the available power at normal listening levels.

I don’t listen to “full scale” which is why I measured 10-11W. Volume doesn’t seem to affect consumption significantly.

I had a Yamaha amp that displayed peak out power, and never went above ten watts. With my wife in the room, one watt.

Class D output is 80-90 percent efficient, but there’s the power supply, DAC and DSP chips.

It also depends on the speaker sensitivity, which can vary by 15 dB.
