The speakers are barely audible.

I have the Ultra connected via line out to active Klipsch 41PM speakers. I had the volume set to about mid on the speakers and 30-40 on the Wiim and the volume was perfect. But now at 30-40 the speakers are not quiet and to hear the music at least very quietly I have to set the Wiim to 70-80. Does anyone know what happened and how to solve it? Thank you

There are too many possible reasons to know for sure from remote.

Things to check include (but might not be limited to):

• Did you set a volume limit?
• Did you change the max. output voltage?
• Did you change pre-gain for any inputs?
• Did you apply room correction?
• Did you apply EQ?
• Are you using the same input as before?

Depending on the answers to above questions other questions can arise. Generally speaking there's nothing wrong setting up the system in a way that results in the volume setting at 70-80% as long as this gives you the desired loudness. But you don't want to be surprised by the volume suddenly rising again, so it's important to find out what has changed.

You can try a factory reset, of course, but will be losing some stuff like your favourites. This should be a last resort if nothing else works. Removing the mains power for a minute or so is always a good idea if you experience unexpected behaviour.

The strange thing is that I didn't change anything in the settings. I was listening to music at a level of around 30-40 and now I have to turn the volume up to 70-80 to hear even very quiet sound from the speakers.

I cannot read that.

Something must have changed, obviously. If you don't remember having done any of that on purpose you could either check all the settings I mentioned above and post the current values or just try the factory reset.

Before doing so you should send feedback to WiiM through the WiiM Home app ("More" tab => "Feedback"). You can describe your problem and device logs will be send along to WiiM support, so they might be able to recognise details that are not visible to the naked eye.

Thanks for the advice, I'll go through all the settings again, try unplugging the wiim from the power supply for a few minutes and possibly use the support in the app.
