Tiny hole on one side of the front display

I have just bought a WiiM Ultra and, on close inspection, I found a tiny hole on the side of the front display. On another forum there is a user who has confirmed to me that it also has this hole, but there are other users who don't. Is this a factory defect? Is there any protective film to be removed?

Please see the linked image (click to enlarge):

Thanks in advance for any clue.

Looks like an air bubble in protective film to me.

But is there a protective film on the front display? If there is, I tried to remove it with my fingernails but couldn't. How did you remove the protective film on your set?

Thanks again.

Dude, I don't even remember. Your pic looks like a screen protector. If it isn't, you need to exchange it, IMO.

Usually there is a tab on the other side to remove the protective film.

If this is not present, please try removing the film by placing a cellotape(Scotch Tape) here.

Thank you all for your feedback, much appreciated.

Indeed, I do not have such a tab.
Please take another close look at the image posted earlier, but this time look carefully at the outline marked by the arrows:

Is this outline the edge of the protective film? If not, how can I request support from WiiM in case of it is a factory defect? I bought my set on Amazon Spain.

Thanks a lot again.

It does look like where the film would end. If you purchased the Ultra new it does have a protective film. I think that @Wiimer had the best idea. Use a piece of sellotape or packing tape on the corner and stick it over the film and onto the casing. Then pull gently and see if it comes away. I think this would be a safe way to remove the film.

Yes, it clearly appears to be a protective film.

I don't believe this is an early defect, but if you encounter any issues with the product, please ask the official WiiM store on Amazon or submit a ticket through the feedback section of the WiiM home app.

It's the protective film.. you can just peel it off :)

No problem! Now you can enjoy the WiiM's 3,5 inch screen with optimal clarity & definition 😉

@Djinn, but for sure we want to see the success picture once you've removed the film! 😁
