Unable to control NAS drive music in wiim app

Hi

Just purchased a mini and having trouble setting it up.

I can connect via aux and it plays Spotify and sees my home network and pulls the folders in under home music share.

The problem I have is I can't stop music playing as there isn't an interface to control the music.

The drive is a qnap..

Any ideas as I can't seem to get music to stop other than pulling the power or switching to Spotify.

The actual wiim music app also doesn't show anything which I suspect is the issue.

Any help would be appreciated.

When you choose a song from the nas, does it show it as playing in the bottom strip of the app, with a pause icon on the right?
And if you click on that strip, does it expand into the playing screen?

Or, if you go to the Devices screen, does it show the mini with the song you've chosen, and if you click on the mini does the playing screen appear?

Edit - note that there's no Stop button, just pause.

Well, it was very early here when I posted that - genuinely puzzled how you can start music playing without seeing the play bar and pause button…
