Update WiiM in Audiophonics DAW-S250NC

I'm using an Audiophonics DAW-S250NC all-in-one amplifier, which has a WiiM network player integrated inside.
The built-in WiiM module is a 2021 OEM Linkplay A98 M-22 V02.
From the WiiM Home app, the device is recognized as a WiiM mini (it has twice the RAM of the WiiM mini).

The firmware version is 4.6.339233.2 as of 12/20/2021.
No firmware update is available from the WiiM Home app.
This device is therefore missing all the new features and security updates introduced since 2021.

Is it possible to get an update for this WiiM integration?

This is not a WiiM module but a licensed LinkPlay module, so I guess an update must come from Audiophonics.

The amplifier works via the WiiM Home app.
From the app, I can check for a firmware update; so I assume WiiM can offer one.
It may be up to Audiophonics to offer the update. I don't know how the LinkPlay license works.
I'll ask Audiophonics.

The WiiM Home App is an extension of the original LinkPlay app. So all LinkPlay devices will be seen but I think updates are coming from different places?

Do you have an app for the Audiophonics? The audio pro devices do for example have there own app.

There is no Audiophonics app. We must use WiiM Home app.
No update since 2021, so I can't see the titles played by a web radio or skip to the next track on Radio Paradise for exemple.

Like you say, maybye it's to Audiophonics to give update ?

I’d say so, much the same as the non-WiiM edition Audio Pro speakers - it’ll be down to the licensee to do or pay for the upgrades, but I’d say it’s very unlikely you’d get firmware for it that would approach what a WiiM branded Mini can do as it would compete directly with WiiM.

Just buy a WiiM Mini (or Pro) in the sales and feed that into the Audiophonics unit
