Upgrade from Wiim Mini with Schiit Modi DAC

I have a Wiim Mini and am enjoying it very much through a Schiit Modi DAC. I am tempted by a Wiim Ultra with it's improved DAC and Ethernet connectivity. Has anyone any experience of upgrading this way, and do you think I will still benefit from the use of the external DAC?

Yes, an improvement. Also Ultra via USB to Schiit Unison.

As long as you don't use Airplay, I would think so.
