USB and Sub Out

The WiiM Ultra's USB port out and sub out cannot be used simultaneously unfortunately.
Will that be a possibility in the future?

Not sure where you got that info (may be from when the ultra first came out and before updates), but the usb out and sub out can definitely be used simultaneously. That's exactly how I have mine configured.

The WiiM Ultra's USB output currently does not support simultaneous use with the subwoofer output. When using the USB output for an external DAC, the subwoofer output is disabled, according to the WiiM Ultra User Manual. The WiiM team is investigating the possibility of enabling both outputs simultaneously in a future firmware update.

And that update happened some time ago mate. I'm literally listening to my ultra right now with usb out to a dac and with sub on.

That's weird... Until this last update, that's how I was using it. USB out to DAC and Sub out was working together great. Now after the update. This recent one... USB out to DAC will not work. So I'm using Optical out to DAC.

Is the firmware version 5.2.725647?
It contains a bug fix for USB output, this may have caused your problem. Please submit a ticket.

Is that a ChatGPT/AI search copy and paste by any chance? I frankly wouldn’t rely on that to tell me the time - all too often in my experience it spouts incorrect or out of date/context responses.

It was, clearly outdated, everything is fine it's all hooked up and working great.
