WiiM Pro Plus output to HDMI Soundbar
Hi all.
I have just purchased the Pro Plus and an expensive soundbar that I was hoping to connect it to (Sony Quad), which only has HDMI inputs. I just read that Airplay 2 casting has been removed. Can anyone recommend a way of connecting the Pro Plus to the HDMI port (maybe a converter or adapter)? I’d like to avoid Bluetooth as it’s lossy and I typically listen to Hires on Tidal. Trying to stick to WiiM so I can get multi room Tidal with my existing WiiM mini (connected to a Kanto TUK).
Could I even go via the TV? What would show on the screen?
My TV has the following ports:
- USB 2.0 and USB 3.0
- LAN Connection
- HDMI x 4 ports
- HDMI eARC
- Antenna/ Cable IN AV IN Adapter
- Headphone
- Digital Audio Out (Optical)
